Courtyard by Marriott Portland City Center – part two

Finally the cool and light photos from the shoot at the Courtyard by Marriott Portland City Center. A clean contemporary design much like the overall look and feel of the hotel from lobby to guest rooms.

Do you love the lighting? We do! LOVE LOVE lighting! Lighting makes a HUGE impact on the overall setting. Its, like the cherry on top of a rockin’ sundae.

The hotel wanted us to use their ballroom chairs which are plum purple with a chrome trim. So we decided on various shades of lavender with silver accents to tie the overall look. Using silver paillettes overlay and silver lacquer chargers with beaded rim for a touch of glamour. Then adding the punch of tabletop color with the matte satin napkins.

Hope you like what we did cause we sure do!

Courtyard by Marriott Portland City Center – part one

Courtyard by Marriott Portland City Center, a downtown hotel that opened in June 2009 approached us last spring to produce and stylize their ballroom for a photoshoot. They were looking for two different looks to showcase the event space; rich and warm while the other cool and light. We were thrilled and honored; and couldn’t wait to begin the design process!
Here in this photo we went with warm inviting fall colored tones of red, orange, amber and chocolate. We couldn’t have accomplished this without the help of some wonderful vendors. West Coast Event Productions provided the chargers, linens and chivari chairs while Think AV helped to tie in the warm glow with perimeter amber lighting; and florals by us, Creations by Ly.
Cool and light images will be posted soon.
